I want this about page to be the craziest about page you’ll ever encounter, but I haven’t thought of any crazy way to present it to you, so probably, this is going to be the most boring about page you’ll ever read. That said, let’s just go wherever my brain will bring me.

About pages are so hard to maintian, what you write on it maybe right today, maybe it’s stil right tomorrow, but in the next couple of months, chances are, some of the information you wrote are no longer true and needs revision (e.g. your age, likes and dislikes). So, be warned! Whatever you see here is true as of the third of February 2011.

The Blogger

I’m Louie Alfred L. Gomez, known to everyone as Louie. I’m already in my early twenties.

Despite the fact that I have been in the blogging industry since circa 2003, writing is not my biggest asset. I actually hated writing — both in Filipino and English. Especially in English. Credits are due to my teachers back in high school who honed whatever skill I have — although you could argue if I really have any skill in writing — and to the various authors of novels, short stories, non-ficiton books, and articles who gave me inspiration to write. It’s a skill that I was able to develop throughout the years. But I admit that my writing skills aren’t near from perfect or even just from half-perfect, as evidenced by my elementary school level grammar1 and the inconsistency with the quality of my posts.

I consider myself as easy to be entertained and pleased — except for food. Aside from writing, I also enjoy watching TV shows such as Chuck, Grey’s Anatomy, Fringe, White Collar, Doctor Who, and Misfits; listening to music by Death Cab for Cutie and Jack Johnson (you could know more about my listening patterns by visiting my Last.fm account); reading books, some of my favorites are the whole Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, Ian McEwan’s Atonement, Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner, and Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy (I have provided a full list of the books that I’ve read here); and I also get some form of entertainment by watching movies of any genre (except horror movies), especially tragedies, they’re a big hit to me.
